Action Items
- DoubleTree Committee will check out Maxi's as a "drop-in" venue (no room reservation) for Fri 7/25.
- DoubleTree Committee will make down-payment $1200 on DoubleTree Hotel Ballroom for Sat 7/26.
- DoubleTree Committee will follow up with Damon Allen '77, 206.465.8066, about being DJ for Sat 7/26.
- DoubleTree Committee (with help from Chester) will determine if Clarence Acox and the Garfield Jazz Band (current students) will perform for Sat 7/26.
- Picnic Committee: Needs to decide whether the picnic is "potluck" or if the committee is going to provide food, drinks, etc.
- InfoTech: Send postcard notifications to all the snail mail addresses (found or lost) from Harris Connect. The goal is to drive our classmates to register at http://Garfield1978.ning.com.
- InfoTech: Investigate using www.PayPal.com to take reunion payments. Alternatively, David volunteered to be treasurer (he has a P.O. Box).
Decisions
- Our philosophy is to "keep it simple" for this reunion, so no one has to do too much work and we can all have fun.
- We will not be doing any decorating at any of the venues.
- We will not be producing any printed souveniers. Instead we will be using http://Garfield1978.ning.com and http://www.GarfieldHSF.org/Alumni/1978/ websites. Classmates will be able to post photos on their own
at Ning.com, and send photos to Ben to post on the GHSF website.
- Chester and Ben will be the "official" photographers for all the events. Other classmates are welcome to share their photos, too. ;-)

PROPOSED: This fee covers the cost of the dinner Saturday night (and maybe the Sunday picnic):
$50 if order received by 5/31;
$60 if order received by 6/30;
$75 if order received after 6/30, including "walk-ins" at events;
July 25, 2008 – Social Event at Maxi's at DoubleTree SeaTac
Hours: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. [TENTATIVE]
Current plan is not to reserve a room.
July 26, 2008 – Buffet Dinner and DJ: SeaTac Doubletree Hotel Ballroom.
Hours: 7:00 p.m. - Midnight (buffet opens by 8:00 p.m.)
Target: 100 people
Tables: 15 rounds of 10 people each
NOTE: The minimum cost of the facility is $3,700 -- if we exceed that figure in food/wine billing, then room is free.
Payment Schedule:
04/21 $1200 first deposit
06/06 $1200 second deposit
07/12 $1300 final deposit

NOTE: No alcohol or loud music is permitted.
